Fashion Friday

Hello, my name is Kenny and I am an addict…To Jackets, Coats, and Sweaters…the struggle is real.
While I have an abundance of outfits at my disposal (T-Ray would say), I always end up getting hung up on what sort of coat I should be wearing. Although, like everything, its completely situational. Therein lies our[fellow addicts] predicament. Thus, we must analyze the situation…

Questions to ask in descending order:
#1 Is there a dress code for the event/evening?
Yay/Nay

#2 Indoors or out?
Sure/Nope

#3 What sort of tasty beverages will I be enjoying?
Soda/pop, liquor/beer, wine/champagne, Yes to all?

And finally,
#4 Is there anyone that you are trying to impress that will be out with you?
*This could range from your old drinking counterparts (see question #3), a boss/coworker, or just that person that you want to look better than out of principal…whether it be you a crush or because they’re a total Beotch.

After answering these simple questions you are now ready to dress for a night of galavanting success…

I have given three different variations of the same basic outfit. The accessories are completely versatile which is always nice. The pants and shoes could all be mixed and matched depending upon your own personal tastes.

Formal

Blazer- Thrift Store
*Bottom- I would choose a nice fitted slack with a pair of black loafers. Keep it simple. Jazz it up with a fun tie and complimentary pocket square if you are feeling festive.

Semi-Formal

Knit Coat- Levi’s
*Bottom- This is a little more Collegiate looking so perhaps some slacks and a soft leather “Hipster” shoe. Throw a Fedora on it and call it Macaroni. If not, jeans and some Chucks could be a nice semi-casual look.

Casual

Leather Jacket- Thrift Store ($11, no joke.)
*Bottom- I would do jeans, I prefer dark denim with little to no wash/distressing, but a little tattering wouldn’t hurt the look in the least. Pair it with an awesome pair of boot.

*The base outfit:
Dress Shirt- H&M
Cardigan- Merona (purchased at Kohl’s)
Bow Tie- Rue 21

P.S. Always remember to overdress for every occasion; you don’t want to be that A Hole who showed up to a wedding in shorts because they said “Casual Attire”.

XOXOXO
